WHO WE ARE

Procurement for the United Nations University entities in Bonn is implemented by the Procurement Department following the procurement rules, regulations, procedures and instructions from the United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) and aims to seek the best value for money principle as well as cost-efficient, professional, high-quality and environmentally friendly goods and services. In accordance with United Nations rules and regulations, the procurement department of UNU Bonn is ensuring that all required goods and services are obtained in accordance with the best value for money principle and in a fair and transparent manner. The procurement activities of UNU Bonn cover a wide range of education, training and consulting services, printing and publishing services, office equipment, ICT equipment and services, design services, conference equipment and services, field needed supplies, general office supplies, furniture and various other requirements.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide responsive, effective and quality procurement services and business advice to UNU Bonn and other Regional Training Centres/Programmes (RTC/Ps), while achieving best value for money and ensuring a competitive, fair and transparent process in accordance with established regulations, rules and procedures.

OUR CUSTOMERS

The procurement department of UNU Bonn provides procurement services to the following RTC/Ps:

• UNU-Vice Rectorate in Europe (UNU-ViE);

• UNU-Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS);

• UNU-International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (UNU-IHDP);

• UNU/United Nations Water Decade Programme on Capacity Development (UNW-DPC);and

• UNU-Institute for Sustainability and Peace, SCYCLE Operating unit in Bonn (UNU-ISP/SCYCLE).
